Teel Island was a frequent Wyeth subject and appears in works made during his explorations from Port Clyde.

The island belongs to the tight cluster of near-shore Maine locations that sustained Wyeth for decades.

There is no public landing; view only from a lawful boat route or distant public shoreline.
